Hill House Hobart - Fantastic views close to city

Positive: Absolutely stunning house, great views of Hobart with plenty of room and comfortable beds. Loved our stay there and defiantly exceeded our expectations. Close to city, only a short walk with a moderate hill climb or an uber. Hope we can return one day for another stay.

It should be called Chill House or, you’re not welcome. Positive: The house was lovely. Lots of character. It was in a great location with great views. Negative: It was freezing. The TV is located in the main room. The main heater was out of service and the portable blow heater didn’t work. When we politely requested a replacement blow heater, we received an absurd response from the owner. … “oh no. Do you need an ambulance. Call 000. Triple zero. Tasmania is cold in the Winter”. And it got worse from there. She told us that we should leave. There was no provocation other than telling her that we were freezing. She eventually delivered a heater. I have stayed in many holiday homes over many years and have never been treated in that manner. I have never previously posted a bad review. Her treatment of us was extraordinary. After the initial exchange on Booking. Com, she text us directly (presumably to avoid scrutiny).

Would stay again. Loved it. Wish we had longer! Positive: Four of us were privileged to stay in this gorgeous, spacious, scenic home. We had double bedroom each and the lounge, kitchen/dining room and sunroom provided extra space. Great facilities, ensuite and bathroom with washing machine and dryer. The views were beautiful. Shops and wonderful Italian ‘Ottimo’ restaurant within walking distance. Twenty five minute walk to Salamanca. Excellent spot. Negative: Instructions for using the heating would have been handy. It was cold!

Positive: Amazing 180 degrees views. Negative: No heating in the lounge room.
